On his second solo CD, Law Of The Jungle, guitarist Martin Behr proves himself both a versatile musician as well as a mature composer. Together with Rolling Thunder bassist Rolf Sander (STS-8 Mission, Mayqueen) and drummer extraordinare Alex Bisch (Martigan, Artgap), Behr plays through all different kinds of rock music on this fine CD.
The high energy rock opener "Wild Chase" is followed by the funk/fusion track "Stirred Not Shaken" and the Latin style "Colorado Feeling". The fifth track "Three Days In A Row" touches world music with 12-string acoustic guitars and African percussion played by Michael Kuttner (Michael Sagmeister Band), showing yet another side of Martin's musical personality. Another highlight is definetly the three-part, 15 minute long opus "No Good Deal". It tells the story of a junkie, expressing the different situations (first experiences, trip, addiction...) through the music and shows Martin's ability to express moods and atmosphere through his music. This well produced, versatile rock CD is dominated by the excitement, virtuosity and great performances of Sander, Bisch and Behr - give it a listen. Instrumental Guitar (Electric (Heavy)/Hard Rock/Rock), total running time, 56:59 - Martin Behr @ iTunes!
