Read what the New Gandy Dancer (Issue 68) had to write about The Plungers debut CD, Land Of A Thousand Surf Guitars, "Very, very strong original surf band from the sands of Texas. Unlike some of today's bands who claim a surf knowledge and heritage, these guys sound like today, but at the same time sound like the genuine article of yesteryear - and it comes off beautifully. Lots of twang, good melody, a driving rhythm section, and mucho, mucho guitars. The originals are so nicely done that within a couple of plays, you'll think you've known them before but you haven't. The Plungers could well be the find of 2003." Dan Forte at Vintage Guitar magazine adds, "15 majestic, melodic originals - all full of energy, with cool arrangements, and tones to die for. One of the best surf records to come down the pipeline in a good while." Instrumental Guitar (Electric/Surf/Rock), total running time, 32:03 - Plungers @ iTunes!
