Martin Behr
"Keeping The Balance"
|
German guitarist Martin Behr offers nine instrumental rock tracks on his self produced debut album "Keeping The Balance", using a wide range of electric guitar sounds, while also incorporating acoustic flavors. Listening to the songs you realize that for Behr, the guitar is not only just an instrument, but a lifestyle, which also shows in his over the top virtuosity and creativity. The compositions range from neoclassical metal (the title track) to funk ("Used And Abused") to the ballad "Water, and also feature fresh rhythmic interplay between drums and bass. With a tasteful interpretation of the "Hotel California" theme ("Cool Wind In My Hair"), lots of cool riffs and hot licks, this CD is really a pleasure to listen to for fans of instrumental guitar.
