More than two years in the making, "Journey Of The Heart" is a stylish fusion of smooth jazz and rock elements. Each track on the all instrumental album features guitarist Eric Byak's seductive 6-string work seamlessly interwoven with classic jazz, breezy funk and sensuous Brazilian rhythms. Joining Byak is a tight ensemble of L.A. session and touring aces: Frank Briggs on drums, Hans Zhermuhlen (Frank Gambale) on keyboards, bassist Baba Elefante, George Shelby (Larry Carlton) on sax and percussionists M.B. Gordy and Gabriel Falcon. Chock full of Byak's clean acoustic or slightly boosted electric guitar playing, "Journey Of The Heart" is a finely constructed, expertly put together example of current instrumental jazz.
