Jim & Jam is the 2004 instrumental collaborative work of Danish rock/pop, metal/blues/fusion guitarists Jacob Kjaer, Tonni Rahm and Mac Gaunaa. The GuitarStew project originated out of a series of jam sessions, where the basic idea was that all of the soloing was to be improvised. An additional rule was that if two of the three players liked a specific take, it should be kept - regardless of who liked it or not. All the backing tracks/songs were written by Jacob Kjaer and Tonni Rahm, but it was forbidden for the composer to solo over the track prior to the jam session; this way the spontanity and energy was captured for everyone, since the track would be totally 'fresh' for all. The results of these jam sessions were so impressive that the three decided it should be available to all the instrumental guitar lovers out there. The result of this is the ten songs on the GuitarStew CD Jim & Jam. All three musicians feel that the result really reflect the spontanity, joy, energy and emotion linked with improvised guitar at its best! Instrumental Guitar (Electric (Heavy)/Hard Rock/Fusion), total running time, 44:40
