Intensity is an instrumental music summit featuring two important names in the Brazilian guitar world - Alex Martinho and Sydnei Carvalho. The two met over ten years ago at Hollywood's Musician's Institute, and their careers have progressed individually (with solo albums, shows and workshops) as well as their mutual friendship. The result of their combined forces is the generation of a new and extremely personal artistic language, fusing the best of the two guitarist's personalities. The repertoire has been written and recorded with 7-string guitars in mind, and the musical themes also revolve around the mystery of the number seven (7) in nature, reinforcing the idea of a cultural product that, necessarily, does not find widespread media acceptance. Intesity is based on the study of the texts of Jacob Boehme (the father of the German modern philosophy), H.P. Blavatsky, Max Heindel, and Plato, among others.
