Review of "Infectious Licks"

aye Foucher will prove that women can hold their own in this business. This guitarist belongs on a major label and the way I see it, it won't be long. Along with drummer John Kerr and bassist Jack Krupski, Jaye Foucher has produced two first-rate three-song instrumental prog rock demos. Tape 1--"Little Human Things" is excellent hard rock/metal guitar work - the chops are there. She kicks ass on "The Untamed". Heavy blues-based arrangement. "Pandemonium" is a hard-hitting song with killer riffs. Cool voice FX. Captures the right mood! Tape 2 -- "SWF" rocks. Hard-hitting riffage Hendrix would smile down upon. "Sympatico" is fine jazz-inspired rock. "Epic" is heavy and big-sounding. Lives up to its name. The Jaye Foucher Project plays regularly in the Boston area and has appeared on a number of New England cable shows and college radio stations. If you're ever in the area, be sure to check 'em out.
