The conundrum: why do French shred guitarists love English obscenities? Ponder this while listening to "Humanchico", an experimental/shred/electronic/metal offering from Kermheat. Featuring blazing shred and percussion in the style of electronic Buckethead, Kermheat uses all kinds of laser sounds, sound effects and voice sound bytes (providing a good amount of the 'fu*ks', the 'mindfu*kers' and the 'fu*k yous') in his compositions, making them unlike pure instrumental tracks, rather like cinematic musica concrete. Kermheat's bursts of shred are highly technical madness, and he uses a number of tools, including seven-string guitars, guitar synths, Pacman, fretless guitar, post-nuclear guitar and even acoustic guitar. If you're not an instrumental purist (some kind of vocalism or effect graces just about every track - but no singing) the experimental approach by Kermheat may be just what you are looking for.
