The purpose of the Guitar Nine Records' Home Studio Registry is to allow owners and users of home/project studios to communicate with other musicians who are doing similar projects and work.

Far from being the solitary musician locked in a spare room with a bunch of expensive toys, you will finally be able to hook up with others who have many of the same dreams and aspirations as you do.

Jim Snow's Studio Details

Been dabbling in music recording for several years, and now starting to lay down some tracks that I want to put together to burn to a CD.

Main purpose: Recording
Secondary purpose: Jamming/Fun


Recording knowledge level: Average
MIDI knowledge level: Just learning


Typically work (with): Alone
Completed songs/demos/jingles: 5-20


Future plans: Put together a CD of original songs. 50 to 75 minutes long. Mixture of Medium Hard Rock, Old & New Country, and anything else that contrasts with the first two that will give the CD an edge and keep it interesting and surprising.


Guitars: Peavey Rapture Plus, Cheep S101 used for steel / slide , Squire Tele Custom, & Yamah G75 accustic.
Keyboards: Cheep Casio ( Non MIDI)
Sound modules: None so far
Percussion: Drum machine included in Cake Walk Guitar Tracks Computer Program used to record tracks. Also Drum Machine on Digitec RP200 Guitar effects pedal.


Effects: Digitec RP200
Microphones: Several ranging from Cheep to Lower High end price range.
Mixer: Old Yamaha 8 Channel and Cake Walk Computer 8 Channel program
Tape decks: Cassett and older Sony Reel to Reel
Hard disc recorders: None
Monitoring system: Medium range studio monitor speakers and RF wireless headphones


Computers: IBM 233Mghz, 128Meg Ram, 2 -20 Gig Hard Drives, Read Write CD Drive.
Music software: Cake Walk Guitar Tracks
