The purpose of the Guitar Nine Records' Home Studio Registry is to allow owners and users of home/project studios to communicate with other musicians who are doing similar projects and work.
Far from being the solitary musician locked in a spare room with a bunch of expensive toys, you will finally be able to hook up with others who have many of the same dreams and aspirations as you do.

Computers: HP something or other, 40 gig HD, only 128 meg ram.

Comments: My goal is to capture the sound of the 70`s and early 80`s basic funk acts (without the old keyboards, violins, horn sections, etc.) like Sly, Stevie, Rick James, Prince, etc. We`re using the Tascam 688 because that`s all we have, and I`ve used it on our last CD (which sold over 100 copies worldwide online, making the record go uhh, cardboard).
