Stephane Pilette is a self-taught rock instrumental guitarist from Belgium who has released his debut CD, entitled Guitar Work - Part 1. Pilette has played in many bands - metal, funk-rock, Latin rock and acoustic rock - and has now returned to his roots, playing instrumental songs. He did all the work on the hard rock sounding Guitar Work - Part 1, from playing to recording to mastering. Pilette has a large list of instrumental guitar influences, from guitar virtuosos such as Patrick Rondat, Steve Vai, Greg Howe and Richie Kotzen to jazz artists such as Joe Pass and Pat Metheny. He started playing guitar after hearing Dan Huff (Giant) and Chris Oliva (Savatage), and later got into Yngwie J. Malmsteen and David T. Chastain.
