Guitarras Vol. 1 is a dynamic, mostly instrumental, compilation CD, showcasing thirteen talented Brazilian guitarists (who incidentally all play solos on one track, the appropriately titled "Big Jam"). Guitarists such as Alex Martinho, Sydnei Carvalho, Rafael Bettencourt and Frank Solari spearhead the project, showing the blazing side (Bittencourt's "Comendo Melancia"), the sensitive, soulful side (Rogerio Scarton's "Maria"), the hard rock side ("Big Jam" and Walmyr Tavares' "Estacao Sao Paulo"), the chicken pickin' side (Solari's "Catch The Rabbit"), the classic side (guitar quartet Quadrivium's "Eine Kleine Nachmusik") and even the Brazilian/jazz side (Pollanco's "Winds") - just to name a few. A first rate compilation, direct from South America. Instrumental Guitar (Electric (Heavy)/Hard Rock/Fusion), total running time, 46:18
