Hard Rock/Fusion
Guitar Odyssey is a new version of Milan Polak's sold out debut release "Guitar 2001" (originally released in 1995) with new packaging and a bonus track. Guitar Odyssey follows his universally critically acclaimed "Dreamscapes" album. Musically the album displays a wide variety of styles running the gamut from rock to fusion to jazz and Latin-American, due to Milan's love and interest of different kinds of music. Some of the songs were written when Milan was just 16 and 17, and showcase a maturity of song writing many never achieve. On the album Milan comments, "The songs are more packed with guitars than the ones on "Dreamscapes" and there is a heavy focus on the guitar playing with some over-the-top stunts. Also there were absolutely no keyboards used on this one, so the sound is more direct and right in your face. But the opener "Lights, Camera, Action'"also reflects my humoristic approach towards shredding with the Mickey Mouse-voice in the beginning, the 300bpm and the Austrian folk music bits." Instrumental Guitar (Electric (Heavy)/Hard Rock/Fusion), total running time, 52:49 - Milan Polak @ iTunes!
