Thirty-one year old guitarist/bassist/drummer Adam Rich has released You Can't Escape Life, his second CD on Love Muffin Records. Half instrumental guitar work and half songs containing vocals, the influences of Joe Satriani, Michael Fath, Eric Johnson, Steve Morse and Kirk Hammett burst through on the CD's 10 tracks. Adam explores a wide array of styles, covering rock, pop, punk, reggae, ska and jazz, all with a guitar-driven base. "Perfect" is melodic punk reminiscent of Social Distortion, while the title track brings Ben Harper to mind. "Whirling Dirvish" and "Big Blue" are clearly inspired by Joe Satriani, and "Go Away Mr. Telemarketer" combines reggae and punk in the manner of Reel Big Fish. Adam worked closely with long time friend Jared Levengood of Creme Deluxe Studios, who produced, engineered, and mixed the CD, as well as contributing some songs. Vocals are provided by several guests including local favorite Alex "Xela" Alvarez, Pacemaker
Jane's Brian May, The Atomic Crash's Derek DePrator, and Andy Elias. Rock, total running time, 33:51 - Adam Rich @ iTunes!
