Nicky Baldrian at AOR Dream Zone writes about Odyssey, from the Greek band Reflection, "As a comparison, I would direct fans of Symphony X and older bands like Annihilator, Dream Theater and Yngwie Malmsteen to the excellent music of Reflection who are fast becoming one of Greece's leading exponents in technical, neo-classical power metal. The album, featuring guitarist Stathis Pavlandis, is a conceptual piece based on the story of Odyssey, there are many narration passages in Greek between each song, which give the album it's epic appeal. "Journey To The Other Side" punches with jolting riffs and neo-classical melodies, while "Between Bitch And Charibdis" is another fantastic song, fiery and aggressive with a Dream Theater/Yngwie Malmsteen/Alex Masi influenced approach. Another highlight. "Zeiphnez" is a song that just stunned me; the roaring guitars give the song an almost Megadeth feel circa "Rust In Peace". Reflection's second album is every bit of a winner for fans of classic epic power metal - here we witness a band with true potential."
