With a raw, hard rockin' sound comes the Tennesse outfit known as Red Terrier, who've released their debut CD Leader Of The Pack. Spearheaded by the gutteral guitar tones (think White Knuckles-era Gary Moore, or early KISS) of guitarist/vocalist K.J. McBroom, the band's lyrics cover topics such as decision making ("Standing At The Crossroads"), barroom oneupsmanship ("And The Horse You Rode In On"), stardom ("Rock God") and broken dreams ("I'll Never Love Another"). Songwriter McBroom stresses songs hooks and feeling on Leader Of The Pack, relying on a willfully stripped-down, drum machine-based production to carry his message.
