ell, Phil and myself disagree over this one but I reckon it's powerful stuff. I can't comment on the playing as I'm no musician, but it opens up with a barrage of metal guitar chords and riffs above a solid and strong rhythm section as the wah-wah-led attack just assaults the senses. So, once over the opener, you settle down to what is a thirteen out of fourteen track instrumental rockfest from six of the USA's new wave of rock guitarists, all having the Christian name of Dan - hence the title of the album. Across a varied and consistent set of vari-paced tunes you'll hear some dynamic, full-sounding, emotive axework from D. McInerney, D. Wentworth, D. Shimmyo, D. Masters, D McAvinchey and D (Project 7) Begelman. Each musician in trio format or occasionally quartet with synth fills, fulfils their potential with some cracking melodies and stirring guitar solos, while the tracks themselves are all exclusive to this album and this album only. So, I say I'm right when I state that this is potent brew of instrumental rock that really works.
