Featuring progressive rock/metal with shred guitar and impressive drums, Denmark's My Empty Room has released Grand Illusions. A pair of guitarists (Jesper Nielsen and Niels Vejlyt) provide the sound shock, with Nielsen on lead vocals throughout. Only four tracks, but each is mega-long, with the short one ("Still Searching") clocking in at almost nine minutes. Each track features a stylistically long instrumental intro with solos and the works, before the vocals begin. My Empty Room's genesis was when drummer Jakob Vand and Nielsen teamed up to create a progressive rock band; after auditioning several different bass players and guitar players, second guitarist Niels Vejlyt was selected; completing the creative forces behind My Empty Room.
