Ronni LeTekro is the most famous and also the best six-string artist from Norway. In the year 2002, the guitar wizard celebrates his 20th recording anniversary. Nevertheless - or let's better say due to his immense experience in rock music - Extra Strong String sounds fresh, exciting and up to date. Originally recorded and only released in Japan in 1999, the album has been re-mastered, and re-packaged as well. Also, the bonus track entitled "Publicity" has been added. For the first time ever in his career, guitarist LeTekro also took over the vocal job and brilliantly passes this challenge. LeTekro's guitar style is as versatile as his song-writing. Originally coming from the traditional, classic hard rock of the 80s, a time when he gained huge success with his now reformed band TNT in Europe, North America and Japan, the guitarist also became famous for building bridges from slightly progressive music with his band Vagabond. The band on LeTekro's first solo release consists of members of the aforementioned outfits as well as guitarist/ producer Ken Ingwersen who was responsible for many productions on TNT's albums.
