Review of "Electric Jam"

By: Thingfish

letter t's artists like this that bring me back to the indie labels time and time again. Yontz's playing can best be described as "confident." He knows what he wants to sound and play like, and he captures it with ease. He plays all of the instruments on this CD, except for when he has some friends join him on the Hendrix classic "Little Wing." The overall sound is the classic single coil pickup, through an over-driven Marshall stack. His playing style is reminiscent of Gary Moore's early solo work, with a little more heavy sound. This CD will easily find a place for itself in my collection. A pleasure to listen to.

Pick of the lot - "Uncaged" (4:43)

Shred: 7
Production: 7
Vibe: 5
Songwriting: 6
