Bassist/Vocalist Bret Helm (formerly of Public Image Ltd.) has reunited with world renowned guitarist/recording artist Jennifer Batten to resurrect Doc Tahri. With the addition of Monte McConnell on drums, Doc Tahri offers up it's first full length release in five years, entitled, Einstein Was A Bullfighter. The CD features eleven tracks that run the gamut from glib spoken vocals over ambient textures to angst-driven commentary sandwiched between a thick wall of distorted bass and guitar. In collaborating, Helm and Batten wanted the record to be sonically aggressive with humorous, but socially relevant lyrics. Batten appears and blows down the walls on six of the eleven tracks: "Arrest This", "Dirt Cheap", "Brain Dead Endorsee", "There Was A Time", "Sex Attack Revisited" and "Watch Your Step".
