According to Evett, a singer-songwriter and one of the world's foremost fretless guitarists, every guitar track on the album was recorded exclusively with fretless electric and fretless acoustic guitars -- a first for vocal pop/rock records. In addition to Evett, Circus Liquor features the members of the Ned Evett Group, which includes longtime collaborator Bret Porter on drums, Russ Pfeifer on keyboards and backing vocals, and Jared Tolley on bass.
