Gajan/Edwards/Kammien offer up Box O' Blues, which features snappy, rhythmic blues shuffles accompanied by soulful singing and tone-friendly guitar. The Wisconsin trio consists of three Racine musicians (Joe Gajan, guitar; Roy Edwards, vocals/drums; Jack Kammien, bass) who play blues how it should be played, with feel, conviction, reservation, tone and a strong respect of the past. 1994 was the year Roy and Gajan started performing with a group tentively called "High Steppin," different bass players and keyboardists worked with the group until bassist Jack Kammien joined the group in early 1998. The trio set out to record some material at this time. Respecting tradition yet trying to explore different avenues the trio recorded ten songs that have been described as "eccentric Electric Blues" being rooted heavily in the "South side" sound. As it states in their press, "The band's backbeat and boogie base makes them more fun to listen to than most nights at the House of Blues." Enjoy! Blues/Rock, total running time, 52:41 - Gajan/Edwards/Kammien @ iTunes!
