The Screaming Headless Torsos released their first, influential album for Warner/Discovery Records In 1995. The Torsos, fronted by vocalist extraordinaire Dean Bowman, were chosen by Musician Magazine as one of the top ten bands of 1996, described as "brilliantly blend(ing) jazz knowhow with a love for heavy riffs". They inspired fans, other musicians, and even numbers of cover bands all over the world, and toured Europe, Japan, North America and Canada. They recorded an excellent 1996 live CD, originally released in Japan on VideoArtsMusic, and then took a hiatus, during which New York vocalist Freedom Bremner sang with the band. Having reunited with Dean Bowman two years previously, 2005 is their first release in 8 years. Torsos feature Bowman, vocals, David Fiuczynski, guitar, Fima Ephron, bass, Daniel Sadownick, percussion, and Gene Lake, drums. Recently, Screaming Headless Torsos were chosen by the 2004 Downbeat Critics Poll as "Rising Star - Electric Jazz Group". Fusion, total running time, 51:31 - Screaming Headless Torsos @ iTunes!
