letter ight from the get-go, the opening song of this CD, a cover of Led Zep's "Immigrant Song", makes you think "cool". Ya just gotta love a guitar player mimicking Robert Plant's singing with an axe. Rick is one of those players that likes to make his guitar sound like it's undergoing cruel and unusual punishment while he's tearing up the fret board. But that's not all there is here, as he also incorporates some nice Latin style acoustic playing, and mixes it with a funky fusion-style attack as well. Rick is a very clean player, with a nice feel for when to groove and when to shred. His playing reminds me a bit of a Latin Joe Satriani. Even though this disc has only 5 songs, they all deliver.

Pick of the lot - "Private Isle" (5:45)

Shred: 7
Production: 7
Vibe: 7
Songwriting: 7
