Review of "Guitar Chop Shop"

letter ean Cascione is an American pupil of Metal God Joe Stump! This guy decided to release an instrumental CD and I promise you it wasn't at all a bad idea. If you're into neoclassical shredding guitars with either electric and acoustic parts then you should hold your attention to this review.

Along with some other fantastic musicians ''Guitar Chop Shop'' was recorded. If you're a fan of this kind of shredders then you should remember this name forever. The best shredders, to me, are recognizable in their acoustic works and when I hear the amazing 'Brother' then I suppose this man is a new Metal God. In the harder, heavier songs you will easily hear this is an American guy. Although no vocals are added the music sounds so typical 'US'! The production could have been heavier and more powerful but nevertheless the screaming and fast fingered solos will convince you. As a matter of fact this kind of Metal is asking for a vocalist, in that case I would compare this 'project' with Cauldron Born or Chastain! Some of these acoustic parts are also reminding me to the very first Yngwie Malmsteen albums and the acoustic Michael Schenker works.

The very last song, a bonus-track by the way, is foreseen with vocals! The singer is a man called Gabriel Langelier who owns a fantastic clear voice. You'll be surprised by the strength and the beauty of his voice! It only proves Dean Cascione needs to start a real band, inclusive this man with his golden timbre. Although Gabriel Langelier was forced to sing on calm music I'm sure the heavier works will fit him too. We can only hope we will hear him scream loud with these musicians in the future.

Don't hesitate to check this CD out. Although it is once again another instrumental release there's something awesome lying in this womb. My Points: 83/100.
