Accessible instrumental rock featuring infectious pop hooks, catchy melodies and layers of inventive guitar textures describe Get On With It, guitarist Bryon Thompson's third CD release. As 20th Century Guitarist reviewer Robert Silverstein writes, "Thompson knows the value of a melodic hook and is a master at shifting ambient musical textures." Thompson's influences range widely from Adrian Legg to Todd Rundgren, but the most common threads that run through his songs are his hooks, melodies, and his fingerstyle approach to playing. Thompson states, "As a young guitar player I was inspired by fingerpicking guitarists in the pop-rock genre like Lindsey Buckingham and Mark Knopfler. Later my influences included acoustic fingerpickers like Adrian Legg and Leo Kottke, however my real preference is still original and unique pop rock instrumental music. I believe my music reflects that."
