Progressive/Fusion
In the style of Alex Lifeson's work with the band Rush, Fusia, by guitarist Sean Edward Ghannam, crosses silly cosmic science fiction with progressive rock and fusion. An all instrumental affair, six of the seven tracks feature high energy electric/electronic compositions, with one track, "Planetarium", melding acoustic guitar and guitar synthesizer. Drawing inspiration from science fiction television and film, Ghannam also counts guitarists Bill Connors, Allan Holdsworth and Eric Johnson among his many musical influences. Fans of Rush and progressive fusion need to check out Ghannam's Fusia - you'll find it to be a sonically familiar, yet derivative, guitarfest. Instrumental Guitar (Electric/Progressive/Fusion), total running time, 38:32
