Colorado musician Joe Gamble's 2004 CD is entitled Foreword, a half-instrumental, half-vocal blend of fusion, progressive and other contemporary influences. Gamble writes in the liner notes, "This music is not the result of my current inspiration or direction. Rather, it was a project comprised of very old ideas I had stretching back to when I first started playing music. I first conceived it in the Fall of '97 as a way to archive old demos and didn't really start actively working on it until February of '01, finally bringing it home in the Spring of '04. I hobbled and limped my way towards bringing this thing to life through many life changes and professional obligations. It's lopsided and artistically immature but it's a part of me and my development so I decided to release it.
