Uli Jon Roth recorded "Fire Wind" in 1980 with drummer Sidhatta Guatama and bassist Ule Ritgen, after his departure from the Scorpions. Known as Electric Sun, the band delivered straight forward rock with Hendrix Influences. Fan favorites included "Children Of The Sea". "Chaplin And I" and "Cast Away Your Chains". The closing epic, "Hiroshima", is an almost eleven minute song while tells the story of the bombing of this Japanese city during World War II. A short, spacy instrumental track, "Prelude In Space Minor", provides a voiceless interlude prior to "Just Another Rainbow", and "Hiroshima" also has a long instrumental passage. For breathtaking, feedback laden, vibrato bar enhanced coolness in a hard rock setting, Uli Jon Roth is your man.
