The band was performing at the Toronto Beaches Jazz festival, the tune was
new and had no title. As we played the piece it got faster and faster, hotter
and hotter. We gave the song a big finish and from an audiece of about 500
people a Jamaican born rasta man yelled out, "Mon you was burnin` up." The
audience roared with laughter, and the song got a title.

It means blue ceramic tiles. Spain is covered in these beautiful tiles and I
was in Granada when I wrote the tune in a courtyard covered in, yes, blue
ceramic tiles.

The tune was written for my daughter, who is a classical pianist, a flamenco
dancer and brilliant at math. The musical talent and love of flamenco comes
from me the math part, I have no idea.

I wrote this tune on a hot summer day in Andalusia Spain, sitting at a
taverna with a jug of Sangria. That`s all I remember.

She is my youngest daughter, a truly gifted dancer, math is another
story. Anjelica has been dancing since she was six years old and has toured
North America and Europe with the dance company. She has won numerous dance
prizes and someday my only claim to fame will be that I am her dad.

This upbeat rumba is the band`s theme song. It is a traditional rumba kicked
up a notch... or two.

This rumba starts with a rooster crowing, it is fast and wild with a flute solo emulating the voice of a gypsy from Sacromonte.

| A very deep melody that lingered in my head for a year. I played it often with various other musicians but whenever they asked what the chord progression was I couldn`t name any of the chords it was one big inspirational mystery, thus the name Misterio. On this album, a viloinist solos with me, the piece has been used for films, commercials and documentaries.
The "Solanna" piece/section is a live recording from a concert at The Winchester
Street Theatre. On the recording I am joined by my nephew Tyson Emmanuel, a
shred meister extraordinaire. The name means `full of sunshine` and it
belongs to a little girl who liked dancing and dressing up.
