Johnnes Linstead's fiery guitar work combined with Nicholas Gunn's passionate flute create an atmosphere that is at once engaging, powerful and sublime, and yet at times hauntingly beautiful. Together they have accomplished a new found level of brilliance, and with "Encanto", have created an album that is sure to make its mark as a masterful accomplishment. Linstead, principally playing Spanish guitar is an agile guitarist and melodically inspired composer who tones down flamenco's most incendiary tendencies just enough to create memorable melodies suitable for repeated listening.
