Review of "Electric Horrorland"

letter ild...just wild! This is a crazy, riff-happy piece of music! You got to love it. Michael Knight must spend all of his time playing guitar and playing video games, because he'd combined the two loves into one album of guitar music about video games. Thats right. All of these songs are themed for things like "Twisted Metal, Resident Evil, and Ghost Recon. If you think that those games are exciting, wait until you hear the songs, they are souped-up, high energy, action packed adventures. These aren't the kind of songs that follow all of the usual format trappings. You don't get a conventional "beginning-middle-end" kind of experience. No, this is more like a solo free-for-all rampaging its way through moshing metal madness. It turns out that much of this guitar work is improved (hell-yea!!!) That makes these bad-boys even more impressive. When I do reviews, sometimes I like to end the review with a "This album is like..." statement, but here we know. This album is like the most exciting and adrenaline laced gaming experience you ever had at 5 a.m., all loopy on expresso and Jolt Colas. Toss in a chilli devil-dog, and I'm so there!
