Gongzilla's new recording, East Village Sessions, includes an appearance by guest guitarist David Fiuczynski. The new studio CD all went down in Manhattan's alphabet city. The sessions were all recorded using the ultimate analog gear and recorded in real-time. No synths, no clicks, no sequencing, no syncing, no DSP and no BS. Everything was video taped for an upcoming Gongzilla DVD by EscapeTV. The core band in the studio was Benoit Moerlen (vibes, marimba), Hansford Rowe (bass), Bon Lozaga (guitar), Phil Kester (perc) and Gary Husband (drums). Chris Muth, an engineer at Dangerous Music, got the best damn sound in the city.
