"EarX-tacy" is former Danger Danger guitarist Andy Timmons' 1994 instrumental debut, which finds the Dallas area six-stringer playing everything from Satch-style melodies ("I Have No Idea", "Turn Away") to Stevie Ray Vaughan and Eric Johnson-like blues treatments ("I Remember Stevie") to chicken pickin' send ups ("Farmer Sez"). Versatility..thy name is "Timmons"! "EarX-tacy" proved to be one of the best independent releases in the genre in the mid-'90s, presenting a cohesive sound and featuring solid backing from Mike Daane on bass and Mitch Marine on drums. You can't go wrong with this one.
