"Dog Party" features noted fusion guitarist Scott Henderson going back to his bluesy roots on this doggone concept record. The CD features the vocal and drum talents of Kirk Covington (seven tracks contain vocals), and Henderson also includes three instrumental tracks, "Hole Diggin'", "Milk Bone" and the Liebert/Stoller classic "Hound Dog". The song "Too Many Gittars" lives up to its title by serving up a total of five guitar solos, including guest appearances by T.J. Helmerich (who also engineered and mixed), Steve Trovato, Keith Wyatt and Willie Scoggins. "Dog Party" will have you barking and howling the blues at your next 'dog house' party.
