It has been more than ten years since one of rock's most accomplished composers passed away. Frank Zappa, a man whose music paid homage to contemporary classical figures such as Stravinsky and Stockhausen, as well as late-'50s doo-wop and the guitar-heavy rock that dominated popiin thei '70s. Zappa was a satirist with a wicked sense of humor and lyrics of questionable taste, but he was also one of the most prolific artists of his time, recording about 50 albums during his 40 years in music. "Does Humor Belong In Music?"? is taken from a live recording (at The Pier in New York City on August 26th, 1984) of Zappa's planned final tour in '84 and was originally released on video in 1985.
