William Stravato
"Cybertones"
|
Brilliant and versatile Italian axe man William Stravato's latest CD for 2002 is entitled "Cybertones", and displays his refined style on nine mostly instrumental tracks - the result of his many experiences which embrace various musical fields. His compositions are harmonically and melodically inspired by jazz, rock and progressive music, assisted by his extraordinary performing ability. Brett Garsed is also featured as a guest guitar soloist on the opening track "Invisible". The other instrumental tracks display Stravato's command of contemporary rock/fusion techniques such as alternate picking, legato, tapping, string skipping and sweep picking, and offer clues as to his main influences, such as Allan Holdsworth, Jeff Beck and Scott Henderson. Pick up "Cybertones" to hear the latest from this exciting player.
