Curtis Reid's debut is an all instrumental, rock guitar recording entitled, appropriately, Curtis Reid and features eight of his own compositions along with a cover of the Steve Morse track, "Aftershock". The CD features blazing rock guitar with a melodic sensitivity and tasteful restraint in this axemeister's amazing technique. "Kingsport" and "Terrise" are excellent uptempo workouts, but the downbeat and poingnant "The Dying Tree" is easily the most beautiful song of the bunch. Check out the tasty syncopated phrasing of Reid and drummer Tomlinson on "Lot 49" as well. Reid uses the guitar synth to great effect on tracks such as "August 8" and "Thursday Red". All in all, a very solid album. SPECIAL! Purchase this CD and receive a FREE souvenier "Omniumgatherum" pin, limited time offer, while supplies last.
