ast-rising fusion guitarist Scott McGill joins bass virtuoso Michael Manring and drummer Vic Stevens (Gong) for his most mature work to date. This double CD set showcases McGill's electric Holdsworth-influenced legato style on the 1st disc. His sensitive acoustic guitar musings comprise the 2nd disc. The rhythm section of Manring and Stevens is featured to great effect and there is much skillful interweaving of composition and improvisation throughout. The set should appeal to progressive fans as well as to fans of fusion, both of the electric and acoustic variety. Recommended.
