The four musicians comprising the group 7for4, led by German guitarist and composer Wolfgang Zenk, meld elements of diverse styles such as jazz, metal and rock into a harmonious whole on their debut, Contact. The result can be difficult to categorize: On the one hand are elements at metal, jazz, progressive and even gypsy music, in which unusual melodies and spherical tendencies alternate with full power passages, which surprise the listener again and again with complex rhythms and virtuosic playing and soloing.
