Review of "Cognition"

o you remember Sacred Rite, the awesome Hawaiian metal band that delivered a few
killer albums in the eighties? Now guitarist James Caterine has released a solo
album, this time in a totally different landscape. "Cognition" contains
instrumental, soft and thoughtful music. He mixes acoustic and electric guitars,
entirely without arpeggios and fast licks. Piano and the sound of the sea paint a
background for some of the tunes. Really nice!
