Review of "Code Red"

By: Gabor Kleinbloesem

letter -Force is a band formed around guitarist Michael Corsaro from Philadelphia, who has been writing and recording the past 25 years. G-Force is his band, and they play instrumental Hard Rock, with influences from the Blues, 70s Rock, 80s Hard Rock and Progressive Rock, all together mixing it up and sounding like G-Force! There are still clear comparisons to instrumental artists like Steve Vai and Joe Satriani, but in general G-Force has created an own melodic rockin' style. The best songs are the melodic rocker "Stronger Than Before", the progressive rocker "Swept Away", the straight-ahead hardr ock song "Freeway" and the semi-ballad "Miracles". There's also some boogie hard rock and some blues tingled tunes, but mainly G-Force is a pure instrumental Hard Rock band. Do not confuse them with Gary Moore's early '80s Pop rock band!

Rating: 8/10.
