Bassist Craig Schoedler steps out with his debut fusion CD entitled By The Water. Enlisting top notch guitarists such as Mike Stern and Vince Collela and amazing drumme Steve Jordan was a master stroke, as was his compositional approach, which was to blend his prodigius chops with a melodic sensibility, playing off his fellow musicians, and allowing them their own solo space. You'll be hooked after listening to the aggressive opening track "The Mystic", mellowed by the introspective "For The Family", dazzled by the angular title track, and absolutely groovin' to the infectiously rhythmic "By A Hair". Other contributing musicians include sax man and flautist Ralph Bowen and keyboardist Tom Petroski, while co-production and engineering of this ultra-clean disc fell to Paul Wickliffe.
