Rippingtons
"Brave New World"
|
"Brave New World" is another solid outing by guitarist/keyboardist Russ Freeman and his gang of regulars (Jeff Kashiwa, Steve Reid, Kim Stone, Tony Morales). In additional to the smooth jazz feel, the Rippingtons add more rock and some R&B (especially on the non-Freeman produced vocal numbers "Caravan Of Love" and "Ain't Now Stoppin' Us Now") The overall production on "Brave New World" is extremely polished, and Freeman rips off a number of good electric solos over his original material.
