By: Robert Silverstein

letter he continent of Australia has a rich legacy of guitar instrumental music. The Atlantics were big down under in the '60's and are still going strong and now Australia brings us guitarist Leanne Douglas. Now living in Nashville, Leanne not only has amazing touch on electric guitar but she's a gifted composer. She's clearly more Hank Marvin than Link Wray, although the more rock dominated moments on Blue Heeler hold up quite well. Assisting here are George Towne (drums) several other fine quitarists, including excellent pedal steel from guitarist Lee Warren. Co-producing, bass and strings arrangements from Dale Brown adds further shine to the sound of Blue Heeler.
