LT - Black Light Syndrome, Is yet another project CD on the Magna Carta label, here the talents of three unique voices in both progressive/fusion and pop/metal, are united for a CD filled with tons of energy. Some world fusion influeces are present is certain songs through the use of flamenco techniques on the guitars, and curiosly on the drums as well. The band really shines when they are attacking tight grooves with a heavy feel, and letting loose on some great soloing, this is where Stevens gets his chance to shine, he is not a bit shy to take center stage between the two legends. So as a first CD, and again done on a limited time frame, this is a fine debut for these guys, I am still hoping Magna Carta, gives some of these project bands more time to collaborate and see what they can really do. As it seems the LTE, BLT, Explorers Club, and Attn Deficit are usually done in a limited time, given the schedules of the busy artists involved.
