Waldon Reed, Jr. is a reputable, committed six-stringer from Redford, Michigan (U.S.A.) who reveals his style as jazz-tinged instrumental rock, as one can clearly experience on his latest album, "Resonance Reconnaissance". His favorite guitar is a Custom Warmoth Strat with Duncan pickups. Reed has played guitar since 1978, and candidly acknowledges his career aspiration, "To release two more CD's in the next two years. I'd also like to function in a producer's capacity on someone else's project."
When requested to reveal his ultimate effect for the guitar, Reed answered back with, "Delay at about 250 ms," and then brought up his musicial goals, "To compose music with depth and originality using the guitar as the primary instrumental timbre." He hopes to one day study recording engineering, and is at this time listening to Allan Holdsworth, Tribal Tech, Brother Cane and Out of the Grey. His primary fulfillment? "Rehearsing a new composition with my band," he affirms conclusively.
Reed concludes by mentioning continuing and future undertakings succinctly, by saying, "Look for CD number two sometime in early 2000. Disc number three is slated for the following year and will be the soundtrack for my rock opera "Songs of Truth and Judgment"."
