Waldon Reed, Jr. is an expressive and skillful axe wielder currently based in Redford, Michigan (U.S.A.) who represents his playing style as jazz-tinged instrumental rock, as a music fan can now experience on his most recent recording, "Resonance Reconnaissance". His most utilized guitar is a Custom Warmoth Strat with Duncan pickups. Reed has been playing guitar since 1978, and straight from the shoulder divulges his career objective, "To release two more CD's in the next two years. I'd also like to function in a producer's capacity on someone else's project."
When asked to finally make public his favorite or most used effect for the guitar, Reed unflinchingly stated, "Delay at about 250 ms," and continued by outlining his musicial goals, "To compose music with depth and originality using the guitar as the primary instrumental timbre." He maintains a desire to, at some point, study recording engineering, and is presently listening to Allan Holdsworth, Tribal Tech, Brother Cane and Out of the Grey. His principal gratification? "Rehearsing a new composition with my band," he explains absolutely.
Reed wraps up by noting current and approaching endeavors enthusiastically, by saying, "Look for CD number two sometime in early 2000. Disc number three is slated for the following year and will be the soundtrack for my rock opera "Songs of Truth and Judgment"."
