Since its creation, the artistic aim of Trance Lucid has been to present unique musical ideas through a diverse palette of voices and styles. photoOriginally conceived by guitarist Dave Halverson as a canvas for the expression of his more introspective repertoire, the scope of the project soon expanded to include a range of material and a full band to facilitate live performance. Terry Lee joined on drums, and the nucleus of this new musical entity was in place. After personnel changes and relocation to the west coast, the band was rounded out with the addition of bassist Bill Noertker, a multi-instrumentalist with a varied background of musical experiences.

Trance Lucid`s debut recording, "Arise", is a collection guitar-based compositions drawing upon elements of rock, jazz, and world music. "Arise" was voted "#7 CD of 1996" by WBJB-FM of Lincroft, NJ, in a year-end poll.

photoTrance Lucid`s second recording, "Vigil", contains a wide spectrum of instrumental music pushing in new stylistic directions. A blend of chemistry and artistry, this CD features more of a "band" feel, and a new set of sonic colors.
