Tony Spada is a passionate, enthusiastic guitar player from Hartford, Connecticut (U.S.A.) who expresses his style as classical/jazz/celtic/heavy fusion, as one can appreciate on his latest album, "The Human Element". His favorite guitars include a Modified Fender Lead II and a Gibson Chet Atkins classical. Spada has played guitar since 1970, and candidly acknowledges his career aspiration, "As long as I have fans and a record deal I will continue to write and
release albums and tour."
When asked to name his number one effect for the guitar, Spada answered back with, "Rocktron Intellifex," and then cited his musicial goals, "I try to feature the guitar in many settings. I write music mainly in movements, and in that way the guitar is allowed to be very expressive on many levels." He hopes to one day study to develop keyboard skills, and is at this time listening to Segovia, Yes, Bill Connors and Steve Hackett. His utmost fulfillment? "Getting recognition for my work and selling records, I love the fans," he affirms unquestionably.
Spada concludes by mentioning continuing and future undertakings in his own words, "My musical day begins at 8 AM. when I can practice, write and record new material. I am recording as a session guitarist for an upcoming California label, Clearlight Records release and am in preproduction of the reunion album by my former progressive rock band "Holding Pattern". This album is slated for a 2006 release on Surveillance Records.
